Over 45 million people in APAC still do not have access to electricity, affecting their ability to live, work and play. With our flexible power generation equipment and energy storage solutions, power can be distributed to people across the region.

Building Power Reserves for Communities
Mitsubishi Power’s energy storage systems can provide flexible back-up power in times of duress. They can also address fluctuations in power generation from renewable sources like solar and wind. We have extensive experience with battery systems for both utility and microgrid usage, and large-scale green hydrogen storage such as in our Advanced Clean Energy Storage project in the United States.
Delivering Power on Demand
Many communities in Asia Pacific – particularly in rural areas – are still prone to outages, which disrupt daily life and local economies. Distributed power systems can provide these communities access to much-needed power. Our aero-derivative gas turbines are capable of quickly delivering 30 MW of electricity, offer high thermal efficiency and produce much lower emissions than older turbines and reciprocating engines. Meanwhile, our solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) technology can generate power from a diverse range of fuels, including natural gas and hydrogen, and its efficiency is among the highest of any power solution. Moreover, because its rotating parts move so quietly, the fuel cell eliminates another emission: noise. Unlike power generation that requires a sound buffer, SOFCs offer more flexibility as a small, silent source of carbon-free power.
